Shanghai port posted a container volume of 4.2m teu handled in October this year, a record high monthly figure. 

The port handled a container volume of 4.2m teu in October, exceeding the previous single month container throughput record 3.9m teu in July this year.

Several sectors of the port also reported historic container cargo handling volume in the past month.

Shanghai port has been actively participated in the integration of Yangtze river delta in recent times  strengthening cooperation with ports along Yangtze river. The efficient operation and management of three major container handling zones of Yangshan, international cargo area and domestic cargo area greatly promoted Shanghai port’s container service capability.
