Maersk and China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone Lin-gang Special Area have inked a land use contract for Maersk to construct a logistics warehouse at Lin-gang.
With a total investment of over RMB1bn ($143.3m), the project will commence operation in the third quarter of 2024, and become the first intelligent and green flagship logistics warehouse of Maersk in China.
The warehouse will provide export LCL, regional and global order fulfillment, e-commence logistics, customs and other valued-added products and services to the clients.

“Shanghai is a crucial logistics strategic node for Maersk to develop global business, the regional advantages and policy support of Lin-gang can help Maersk create a complete smart supply chain. Maersk will continue to increase investment in China and further improve logistics services, make efforts to support Shanghai’s development to be a global shipping and logistics hub,” said Wu Bingqing, president Maersk Greater China.
Upon completion of the warehouse, it can offer green logistics supply chain solutions to clients and help the customers to expand global trading network.
